Not interested in performing on stage but want to be involved?

Non-performing members

( No audition required! )

You can join BSMTC as a non-performer or simply a supporter. We are always looking for people to help us out behind the scenes with costumes, sets, props, make up and front of house duties such as selling programmes and raffle tickets. Non performing members are not eligible to audition for shows.

If performing or working backstage is not your cup of tea, but you would still like to support us in some way, why not consider becoming a Patron? The support of our Patrons is invaluable as it helps us to continue to stage excellent amateur theatre productions for our local community. Annual General Meeting

( and awesome social events! )

All members are invited to attend the Company Annual General Meeting, all social events and they also receive our newsletter 4 times a year. All Members are able to vote at the AGM which usually takes place in May and to stand for election to the Committee.

Since moving to Bishop’s Stortford in 2001 I have seen almost every one of the BSMTC’s productions, all of them have been of a very high standard. They have won many awards over the years which have been well deserved. I thoroughly recommend their performances.

We are so lucky here in Bishop’s Stortford to have such a dynamic, professional theatre group as the Bishop’s Stortford Musical Theatre Company performing regularly at South Mill Arts Centre. The musical and theatrical skills of all cast and technicians involved with BSMTC has been rightly recognised for the highly regarded NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Award), notably for the production of Carousel. However, all productions are of an extremely high standard and fantastic value for money. I have been to many of BSMTC productions and have always been impressed by the level of professionalism. Who needs to go to London when we have such dedication to the traditions of musical theatre and talent right here on our doorstep?
