I’m used to the scale and force of BSMTC’s November productions dating back to South Mill Arts’ Rhodes Centre days, and have left the auditorium before at the end of a show with a surprising appreciation for Gilbert and Sullivan and Oklahoma! But Kipps was on another level. It was sensational entertainment that lifted the souls of hundreds of audience members over its five evening and one Saturday matinee performances.
To quote one of the numbers… ah, The Joy of the Theatre.
