Have you ever watched a stage show and thought “I’d love to give that a go” but maybe didn’t have the confidence? Or perhaps you’re raring to go and love the spotlight? Whatever your experience, as a member of BSMTC, you will meet dozens of fun, friendly, like-minded people with a passion for performance.
Our varied schedule of productions and performances throughout the year provides ample opportunity to members of all abilities and ages (18+) to get involved, either on stage, or behind it. Yes, we’re talking to you too, production people – none of this is possible without you!
Whatever your musical preference – the classic book musicals (Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls), modern jukebox musicals (Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You) or the good ol’ Gilbert and Sullivan operettas – BSMTC has something for everyone.
Community
Our wonderfully inclusive and supportive community believes in building each other up, celebrating successes, and helps every member to build their confidence in their performance skills and abilities, whilst encouraging them to push themselves further. Every rehearsal is filled with fun, laughter and lots of singing! And whilst we take our craft and productions very seriously, the same is not to be said about ourselves! We’re all here for the same reason – to have fun, do what we love and bring quality entertainment to our audiences.

Social
And whilst we work hard, we love to play hard too – we have a thriving social calendar – it’s almost as busy as our rehearsal schedule! With curry nights, cinema viewings, theatre trips, race days and much, much more.
